program overview
Sláinte’s Rising Youth Program (RYP) introduces volleyball to beginners, as well as builds on the current skills of intermediate players. Players in this program will be taught the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun and encouraging environment.
Welcome to the exciting world of Rising Youth Development program "RYP"! 🌟 Are you ready to unleash your potential and dive into a world of technical skills and personal growth? Well, you've come to the right place!
At Sláinte, we believe in providing beginners with an exceptional learning experience. Our fall program is all about honing your skills and building a solid foundation in your chosen field. We're not just another run-of-the-mill program that sends you off to endless tournaments. No, no, no! We do things a little differently here.
Picture this: it's a Friday night, and our RYP participants gather together for an exhilarating scrimmage. It's the perfect opportunity for these rising stars to familiarize themselves with their positions on the court. And guess what? They don't have to worry about the pressure of competing against another team just yet. That's right, it's all about self-improvement and getting comfortable with the game without the added stress.
Why do we do things this way, you ask?
Well, we believe it's a smarter use of our time and your parents' time too. We don't want your family dedicating an entire day just to watch them play serve ball (you know, where the team with the best serves usually takes the win) at this stage. Instead, we focus on the development of your skills, fostering a love for the game, and building camaraderie among our RYP family.
And here's the exciting part—our program is bursting with energy and participants! We're big enough to run internal scrimmages against each other. That means you'll have plenty of opportunities to showcase your newfound talents, learn from your peers, and have a blast on the court.
Winter season brings a whole new level of excitement. On the last Friday of every month, we gather our RYP warriors and divide them into teams. Each team proudly sports a different pinny color, ready to battle it out on the court. It's an epic clash of skills and determination, where friendships are forged and rivalries are born.
So, if you're ready to take your technical skills to the next level, make new friends, and unleash your inner champion, join us at the Rising Youth Development program. Together, we'll embark on a thrilling journey of growth, teamwork, and endless possibilities. Don't miss out on the chance to become the best version of yourself.
Practices are two hours on the weekend. This program is meant for boys and girls from 1st through 8th grade (7-14 years old).

Parents please use the following link to create your parent profile with NCVA first before signing up your child in our program. This is a mandatory step and you will need your membership number in order to register on LeagueApp.
Slainte uses LeagueApp to manage our memberships while NCVA uses SportsEngine to manage their membership.
Once you create your SportsEngine username and password, please write this down since you will need access to this every year to update your membership. Do not create multiple profiles or your will get locked out. Create one for yourself first. Once that is done, go back to ncva.com and select the youth membership level to pay. At this point you will be prompted to enter your child's information.
Once you have your NCVA membership number, you can now create a parent profile in LeagueApps for yourself.
If you already have a LeagueApp account, you can go directly to register your child in the RYP program.
Please give yourself 20 minutes to create both profiles.
NCVA = SportsEngine Platform
Slainte = LeagueApp Platform
You will need to create 2 parent profiles before you can register your child in any of Slainte's programs.
You will be asked to enter your child's NCVA membership number as part of the LeagueApp registration process.
